Der Verbalaspekt im Slavischen (am Beispiel des Polnischen): eine binäre Opposition?
Abstract:
The present paper deals with the grammatical category of verbal aspect in Slavic languages in general, and in Polish in particular. The question asked in the title may seem strange considering the obvious fact that aspect consists of two parts, a perfective and an imperfective one, what means that there can be no doubt in its binary character. The author shows, however, that the grammatical binarity of aspect is sometimes realized by three forms such giving rise to a morphological trinarity.
