Gábor L. Balázs:
Data and methods in Slavic historical morphology

Abstract:
The interpretation of word-final changes is one of the oldest and most enduring problems of Slavic historical phonology and morphology. The debate over it is still going on, while the results are far from being convincing. The plausibility of the most wide-spread explanations is examined in the paper by way of case studies, and a different and apparently more promising approach is presented using the conceptual framework and methods of Natural Morphology.
