Zsuzsanna Darai:
Kompositionalität in Freges Semantik (Teil 2)

Abstract:
The basic idea of compositionality is that we have to assume the existence of a universal principle which is able to create the meaning of a whole sentence based on its component parts with a known meaning. The present article discusses Frege’s concept of compositionality. According to Frege’s semantics compositionality is a principle that works on a natural linguistic level connecting syntax with semantics. This means that the syntactic arrangement of phrases in a sentence has its equivalent on a semantic level as well.
